Your Proustian madeleine?

The flour omelet my Catalan grandmother used to make in memory of the Spanish Civil War: when there weren't enough eggs, she added flour and cooked it all in olive oil. An unlikely but unforgettable taste, so much so that she cooked it her whole life.

Your favorite family (besides yours and ours)?

The Rayburn family from the series Bloodline (Netflix). Venomous and destructive as can be, brrrr!

Where do you have lunch as a family?

At La Fontaine de Mars, for their divine andouillette and fries.

What does an afternoon snack with the family look like at your place?

My crumble: tart apple compote with vanilla, whole wheat flour and salted butter crumble, I make enough for 8, even 12, and we eat it with 4!

A real blast with the kids?

Since my daughters are 28 and 23 years old respectively, I'd say a really big exhibition, we loved the Houellebecq one at the Palais de Tokyo. Followed by a really big shopping trip.

A recipe you can make in no time?

My chocolate-brown cake: melted chocolate + chestnut cream + salted butter + eggs, 20 minutes at 180°, it's to die for.

How do they have you wrapped around their little fingers?

When Mathilde starts her texts with "Mom", and Héloïse with "Mummy", it means they have something to ask me...

They make a big deal out of it when...?

I give my pasta with pesto recipe to someone outside the family, they can bite 😉

A favorite product from À La Mère de Famille?

Koala cashew nuts. And the chocolate-covered marshmallows.

A gift for À La Mère de Famille for her 255th birthday?

A shih tzu!

As Annie Cordy used to say

ho KaKakao si je te donne du chocolat tu me donnes quoi?

My (almost) eternal gratitude.
