At À la Mère de Famille, Paris's oldest chocolate shop, we are committed to offering you delicious products that delight both the eyes and the palate.
Traditional recipes and contemporary flavors
We master every step of our chocolate-making process, from selecting the beans and packaging them to their arrival in our boutiques or their shipment to you, to ensure quality throughout. Roasting the beans, winnowing, grinding, conching, tempering... our chocolatiers apply a clever blend of artisanal methods and modern tools. For example, our praline, one of the House's specialties, is cold-ground on a granite millstone, a practice that has almost disappeared today, yet still produces incomparable flavors.
Quality ingredients for a truly unique taste experience
But all this expertise would not be enough to create delicious chocolates without a rigorous selection of every ingredient. It begins with the cocoa beans! We travel the world in search of plantations that share our values and standards, with the aim of combining in our chocolates the richness of different origins: the acidity of Madagascar, the floral fragrance of Ecuador, the robustness of Haiti, and the spicy aromas of Peru.
Our head chocolatier carefully blends all these flavors to create our unique, personalized house-made chocolate couverture, the foundation of each of our recipes. Our praline, meanwhile, is made from carefully selected dried fruits: French hazelnuts, almonds, and Sicilian pistachios.
Declare your love with a chocolate heart this big
For Valentine's Day, a wedding anniversary, to celebrate your parents or grandparents, or to say "I love you" on any other day, give a chocolate heart to the one who makes your heart beat. What better way than one of our "this big" hearts, (almost) as big as the love you feel for them? Our charming heart-shaped mold in dark or milk chocolate is adorned with a four-leaf clover design. It contains an assortment of almond-hazelnut praline chocolates, one of the House's iconic recipes, as well as milk or dark chocolate-coated almonds and hazelnuts that crunch like sugared almonds. Its large size means you can both help yourselves without counting!
In love, we think big, just like you. So we offer two sizes of hearts for your gifts: a cute chocolate heart (160 g ), and a (very) big chocolate heart (420 g) for even more sweetness to share.

Yum, praline hearts
If you want to give an assortment of tokens of love, you can choose a bag of chocolate praline hearts. These ultra-delicious little hearts, made with our signature milk or dark chocolate, are filled with the House's specialty praline. They owe their inimitable taste to our traditional preparation methods, which enhance the flavors of the caramelized dried fruits. A delight you'll be sure to ask us about again!
Soft hearts with marshmallow or dried fruit
Sweet lovers will not be able to resist the irresistible charm of our new vanilla marshmallow coated in milk or dark chocolate... heart-shaped, of course. A delicious combination of the crunch of the coating and the softness of the marshmallow. These hearts can be bought individually in our boutiques or in bags on our website. If you prefer something crunchy, our mendiants will delight you! These love mendiants, filled with a hazelnut, an almond, a pistachio, and a raisin, are so good they'll make you lose your mind.
Intense dark or creamy milk chocolate
Our different chocolate heart creations are available for every taste. The intense notes of our dark chocolate will appeal to gourmands seeking powerful aromas, while the creaminess of our milk chocolate will delight delicate palates.
