Your Proustian madeleine?

Baklawa since morning.

Your favorite family (besides yours and ours)?

There are plenty, the ones I prefer are large families with 4 children, it’s lively and I like it.

Where do you have lunch as a family?

At Liza, obviously!

What does an afternoon snack with the family look like at your house?

Shortbread cookies, fruit, chocolate cakes, cakes and obviously some baklawa and pistachios and almonds and of course chocolate bars and chocolate spread that my daughter loves from À la Mère de Famille of course, I like mixing specialties, Lebanese, Syrian sweets with French desserts.

A pretty busy activity with the children?

My daughter is 3 years old, we pretend to cook and feed the whole world all day.

A recipe that can be made in no time?

Haytalié orange blossom milk flan or strawberry soup with orange blossom and orange zest.

How do they roll you in the flour?

Still too young to do it.

They make a big deal out of it when…?

When someone travels or gets married…. so it’s a party and above all it’s endless meals with 100 starters, 100 main courses and 1000 desserts.

A favorite product from “À la Mère de Famille”?

The 36% milk chocolate mendiant bar and 65% dark hazelnut chocolate

A gift for À La Mère de Famille for its 255th birthday?

A shop in Beirut?

As Annie Cordy used to say, Cho KaKakao, if I give you chocolate, what do you give me?

I give you my heart.
