Nothing is left to chance when creating molds that are as beautiful as they are flawless.
At À la Mère de Famille, we offer you a gigantic bestiary of molds and great classics Easter after Easter. From hens to large bears, as well as traditional eggs and bells, all our subjects are made by hand with patience and meticulous care. Nearly 100 distinct models are crafted by our chocolatiers: hens, roosters, ducklings, chicks, lobsters, fish, sardines, scallops, rabbits, cats, dogs, marmots, bears, cows, squirrels, turtles, owls… in different shapes and sizes.

A detail that is no detail at all: every member of the incomparable À la Mère de Famille bestiary has been given the first name of the owners and their families, who have looked after our institution since 1761. Meet Arlette, Claude, Aimée, Josiane, Marie-Adélaïde, Ferdinand, Georges, Serge… All filled, from the smallest to the largest!

All these molds receive exceptional attention, such as the hand-painting of the eyes and the spraying of the thousands of pieces that leave our workshop. The secret of their shine lies in this preliminary work on each mold. All of them, without exception, are sprayed. This carefully carried out step involves spraying delicate layers of chocolate into the mold before pouring in the Maison's chocolate coating. It brings contrast and shine to our large collection.
It is only after this step that the chocolate, liquid and at the right temperature, is poured and takes the shape of the mold, layer by layer. Sometimes it takes up to four layers of chocolate to achieve the desired thickness!
Unmolded with gloves and great care, they are then filled (ALL OF THEM!) with dry and praline fritures, and then beautifully wrapped by agile and skillful hands. And there you have it!
Our creations are made using the Maison's chocolate coatings. The signature 65% dark chocolate with woody and earthy notes, supported by a slight acidity at the end of the palate, while the signature 39% milk chocolate reveals a pronounced taste of milk and caramel.
