Your Proustian madeleine?
Tarte Tatin. It has everything I love, and I learned how to make it with my family (a specialty of the North!). It is certainly one of the easiest desserts to make, and it is so good with a little crème fraîche!

Your favorite family (besides yours and ours)?

My friends, of course! They are always there, supportive, funny, kind, and so much more. I am lucky enough to live not far from them and see them very often. And I don’t even mention the thousands of texts I send them every day.

Where do you go out to lunch with your family?

Les Niçois! That is our go-to spot in the 11th arrondissement! We love going there, whether the three of us or with friends, because not only is the food excellent and the service top-notch, but they also look after your children on weekends. I will almost regret giving away the address, haha! After lunch, we all head to my coffee shop (Passager 107 avenue Ledru Rollin 75011) for a good coffee 😉

What does a family snack time look like at your house?

Oh boy, it is a joyful mess! My daughter loves baking. We usually make shortbread and cookies in the kitchen, and then we eat them all in the living room with hot chocolate while watching an animated movie!

A really fun activity to do with your daughter?

Painting! We get out all the colors, large sheets of white paper, stickers… At first, I get 30 minutes of peace, but my daughter soon wants me to draw with her. Like me, she loves drawing!

A recipe you can whip up in no time?

Honestly… pizza! It is not exactly a recipe, but my daughter and I often make it in the evening. We buy pre-made dough and put a billion things on it (especially cheese, which she nibbles on as she makes it, the little foodie!).

How does she get into trouble?

When she tells me she is going to get some water from the kitchen, and I realize that she has actually taken the scissors, pens, and tape and hidden them all in her… trousers!

What does she make a big fuss about?

Combing her hair… It is a really difficult time for both of us because it is so long that it takes a good hour to detangle… She hates it and now makes a huge scene (like throwing herself on the sofa “nooooooooonnnnnnnn I don’t want to”) (of course she doesn’t want to cut it!).

A favorite “À la Mère de Famille” product?

The grignotines that I devour in three minutes flat.

A gift for À la Mère de Famille for her 256th birthday?

A… tea room? But I would say a hot chocolate shop instead.

As Annie Cordy used to say, Cho Kakao, if you give me chocolate, what do you give me?

I hate coconut, so I would say… cocoa in the form of hot chocolate! (Yes, you have probably guessed that I love hot chocolate!)
