Your biggest laugh / Dad moment?
When I let my daughter dress herself, it turns into something like the Deschiens at Disneyland ☺.
Your favorite family (besides yours and ours)?
The Simpsons.
What would you do to get a big hug?
“Your weight in marshmallows for a hug.”
Satisfaction guaranteed!
What does a family snack time look like at your house?
A record on the turntable, a bite of lemon polenta cake, a glass of almond syrup and a dance show. We don't make a sound when she is performing!
A pretty wild activity with her?
A musical outing! A real festival for children. Stéréokids, grown-up music for kids. Every year at La Cigale (next edition on Sunday, October 8, 2017). This summer we are holding an exceptional edition at Lollapalooza on July 22 and 23 at the Longchamp racecourse with Martin Solveig, La Femme, Lucien & the Kimono orchestra and Busy P…
A recipe you can make in two shakes of the spoon?
Ricotta Pancake.
We prepare the batter on Saturday and enjoy it on Sunday morning with cocoa and Piedmont hazelnut spread, Ovomaltine Crunchy and maple syrup… Then we go back to bed!
How does she roll you in the flour?
I roll myself up, I even fold myself in half!
A child's naivety is a joy, I like to play along with it, without making fun of them, just accompanying the child in their imagination.
She makes a big deal out of it when…?
When I don't eat at the table with her in the evening 🙁
The meal is a time for sharing, almost solemn in fact. We are both face to face.
I love watching her grow up, become a little girl, already with her manners and her personality.
How do you manage to coax her?
Like the whole world, and it works!
A favorite "À la Mère de Famille" product?
The best recipe is to have managed to make us think we prefer one product over another… While by varying the pleasures we realize that we love pistachio marshmallows, marzipan mice and Montmartre palets just as much!
I have known the shop on rue du Faubourg Montmartre all my life, my mother worked on rue Bergère. Stepping through the door of the shop was a magical moment for me.
Today I happily accompany my daughter because I know she will keep this lovely sweet memory deep inside her.
A gift for À la Mère de Famille for its 256th birthday?
A pretty kitchen apron designed by Olympia Le-Tan so that it can continue to make us lovely recipes for a long time to come!
