Paris’s oldest chocolate shop and the Jardin du Luxembourg have teamed up for a collaboration celebrating the Maison’s long-standing connection to this iconic Parisian landmark.

À la Mère de Famille and the Jardin du Luxembourg have opened their doors to one another—and in style. Throughout the year, original creations inspired by this Parisian gem will be available exclusively in À la Mère de Famille boutiques. The highlight of this new friendship: an original egg hunt held at the Jardin du Luxembourg on April 1.

Two Parisian institutions with a real affinity for one another
More than just a meeting, this collaboration aims to share and bring to life the Jardin du Luxembourg’s unique poetry through exclusive creations that only À la Mère de Famille can bring to life with its mastery of chocolate-making.

For 265 years, À la Mère de Famille has brought generations together through its love of fine food and authentic indulgence. A quintessential family-run business, it has been part of Parisian life for nearly three centuries, with the cherished address passed down from generation to generation.

The Jardin du Luxembourg, a historic botanical treasure created in 1615 by Marie de Médicis, is one of the capital’s most visited sites. Dear to the hearts of Parisians, who come here to stroll, play, and make memories, this historic site embodies the elegance and charm of Paris.

A collection inspired by an enchanted stroll…
Every corner of the Jardin du Luxembourg has become a source of inspiration: an À la Mère de Famille bag resting on an iconic green chair, delicately brushed by a bee or a bird; surprising plays of scale, with chocolate boxes, basins, and flowers transformed into giant sculptures amid the pathways; a giant rabbit enthroned in the middle of the paths… while the choupissons, baby hedgehogs, play hide-and-seek.

Every detail of the garden has been reinterpreted with the subtle, whimsical touch characteristic of artist Mary Clerté, displacing objects from the real world just enough to make them magical: “My ambition is to create a dialogue between the Jardin du Luxembourg and À la Mère de Famille in a world that blends heritage with gentle whimsy—a world where indulgence and imagination meet.”

À la Mère de Famille has created a Jardin du Luxembourg assortment available exclusively in its boutiques and on its website (shipping to France and Europe). The Choupisson, which made its debut first, is now surrounded by a beautifully rustic matching gift box, a duo of gianduja chocolate bars, a spreadable caramel, and a small box of crispy treats.

Le Choupisson x Jardin du Luxembourg: the collaboration’s mascot
A new totem animal has joined the Maison’s collection of dreamlike marshmallows. A soft vanilla marshmallow filled with a very crispy feuilletine almond-hazelnut praline heart, coated in chocolate sprinkled with caramelized almond pieces… and shaped like a little hedgehog, a nod to the real prickly inhabitants that can be spotted in the Jardin.

The À la Mère de Famille egg hunt came to the Jardin du Luxembourg!
On April 1, an original egg hunt took place at the Jardin du Luxembourg. A moment of joy and togetherness in the heart of this iconic site, so beloved by Parisians and visitors to the capital.

À la Mère de Famille, no longer a newcomer after 10 previous editions (at the Tuileries, in the Jardin du Palais Royal, at the Musée Rodin…), nevertheless started with a blank slate for this exceptional occasion in Paris’s most beautiful garden. An egg hunt designed to turn tradition on its head.
